How to take care of your lashes

After investing in a gorgeous set of lashes it's important to follow the aftercare instructions in order to prolong the life of your extensions, as well as keeping your eye health at its best. Here are some very important aftercare tips to follow to give you that great retention you're looking for.

water and oil based products

For the first 24-48 hours DO NOT get your lashes wet, avoid extreme heat, steam, and humidity.

Always avoid any oil based products on and around the eye.

no mascara or eyeliner

Lash extensions eliminate the need to wear mascara! Many women feel the need to cut down on other beauty products (i.e. eyeliner, eyeshadow) as well. If you do choose to wear them be sure to thoroughly clean your eyes. Most mascaras and eyeliners are oil- or wax-based, therefore they will break down the adhesive faster, this equals more fills needed on a more regular basis.

brush daily and clean often

Brush your lashes daily with the lash wand given to you at your appointment. You will also need lash baths! Depending on your lifestyle (i.e., training, makeup use, oily skin) it will affect how often you need them! We recommend the Live Clean Tearless Foaming Baby Wash, which can be found at your local drug store for around 5$.

  • Coat your lash wand with foamed up baby wash and brush through lashes as if you were applying mascara - focusing at the base where buildup can occur.
  • Rinse wand and brush through - repeating until all residue is off your lashes.
  • Let air dry.
